Welcome to Disability Cambridgeshire

For over 25 years, starting as Directions Plus, we have existed to maintain and improve the quality of life of disabled people and carers. We are a user-led organisation, that means we are by disabled people for disabled people, their families and their carers, who live and work in Cambridgeshire. The Social Model of Disability is at the heart of everything we do.

If you want to see people talking about the social model click here for a YouTube video made by the Cambridgeshire Alliance for Independent Living.

We know that one in five people in Cambridgeshire is affected by disability and are here to support you when you need us. We can answer most disability related questions via our free help-line and have caseworkers that can advise you with issues relating to benefits.

Presently all our appointments have been suspended, but we can still help you via telephone, text and video calls.

When things get back to normal, we will resume our advice sessions by appointment at Addenbrookes Hospital, Ely District Council offices, or in your home.
